Famous Crier Kristen Bell Weeps in Emotional Throwback Wedding Photo

Famed sloth enthusiast Kristen Bell gave fans some insight into the high-running emotions experienced during her 2013 wedding to husband Dax Shepard when she shared a photo to Instagram today (January 26) of the ceremony.

The Veronica Mars actress posted a throwback photo online showing an emotional, crying Bell and her husband, Shepard, laughing in her face, along with the caption, "#tbt to when I cried at our wedding and @daxshepard thought it was really funny."

The couple -- who got engaged in 2010 but waited until gay marriage was legalized in California in 2013 before marrying, according to E! News -- opted out of an elaborate wedding, choosing instead to get married at a Beverly Hills courthouse, surrounded by close family and friends.

"We're not having a wedding," Bell told the site. "It's not a desire of either of ours to have any sort of day of celebration for us. I feel like we get enough attention in our daily lives and we just want something sort of private that involves pen and paper."
