German designer Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of French fashion house Chanel, is notoriously selective when it comes to his muses. Actress Kristen Stewart, of Twilight fame, happens to be one of those muses, and now it seems that Stewart will be taking her gig of being the face of Chanel to a very literal level this winter.

The American Ultra star is poised to play a young actress who is playing the part of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel in a short film about a mock documentary film come December. Yes, take your time—we'll give you a minute to wrap your head around that one.

Women's Wear Daily has reported that the short flick will be "a fictional, behind-the-scenes look at a yet-to-be-made biopic about founder Gabrielle Chanel," with Stewart in the role of the Coco-playing actress. With regards to Stewart's portrayal of the famed fashionista, Lagerfeld—who is also at the helm of the short, having reportedly conceived the plot, casting, and script—told WWD, "She played it really, really mean. You only see her in tests and she’s complaining about everything. She’s mean with the director, mean with the producer."

The casting, of course, makes perfect sense considering Stewart's strong ties to the Parisian brand. Over the past few years, the actress has modeled in a number of Chanel campaigns, as well as has appeared on the runway during fashion week. And to be honest, the girl looks damn good in Chanel.

The short film is set to premiere at the Metiers d'Arts show December 1 in Rome.
