Famous people truly reap all of life's greatest benefits, don't they? They're often successful, beautiful and rich, plus they get to do exactly what they love for as long as they're breathing -- barring some sort of scandal or serious legal woes. Kristen Stewart, for example, was interviewed by Patti Smith for Interview magazine recently. That may not seem like a huge deal to some people -- especially depending on the generation you were born into -- but Smith is a legend in her own right. Even better? She's someone Kristen admires and looks up to. In other words? Imagine being interviewed by someone you've idolized your entire life. Exactly.

The interview turns out to be a revealing one, as Kristen admits that while acting was definitely the right decision for her at the time that she made it, she's a different person now. She said, "I'm sitting back and enjoying the benefits of a decision that I made when I was a person who I can still relate to but am not anymore." But she goes on to say that she loves movies, and even credits Jodi Foster, who she acted opposite in the movie Panic Room, with helping her stay honest and true to herself.

The most surprising part of the interview, perhaps, comes in the form of Kristen's defense of Twilight. She said, "I'm always asked about what type of things I want to do, and if I make decisions based on my last project. Say I do a big franchise movie about a vampire that falls in love with a normal girl. It's like, 'Now do you want to show them that you can be a real, serious actor?' It's like, 'Was I not being a real, serious actor?'"

She went on to say, "Anybody who wants to talk sh--- about Twilight, I completely get it, but there's something there that I'm endlessly, and to this day, f---ing proud of. My memory of it felt—still feels—really good."

Kristen even goes on to credit Twilight as being an integral part of the actress she's become over time. She said, "If you're doing good work, you're showing a part of yourself to someone, so I can't say that Twilight doesn't have anything to do with Still Alice and Sils Maria. They have everything to do with each other. They are who I am."
