Kylie Minogue Readies 25th Anniversary Album

Kylie Minogue is a massive pop star in Europe and she plans to celebrate her 25th anniversary of making music with quite a special release. The as-yet untitled set will be no ordinary or run-of-the-mill "greatest hits" selection.

WENN reports that the Australian-born Minogue told an audience at a show in London late last week that she has been working dutifully on a new album that will feature both acoustic and orchestral re-workings of some of her biggest smashes! We love that Minogue is being experimental and doing something creatively ambitious to mark two-and-a-half decades of pop music bliss.

After performing new versions of a pair of songs, Minogue told the adoring audience that "I've been at Abbey Road for about two weeks in total. Not just for this, I’ve been working on a project for next year. Next year’s my 25th anniversary so we’ve been recording acoustic and orchestral versions of a number of my hits." Wow. Just wow!

It's certainly a forward-thinking endeavor and we're excited to hear what Minogue, a breast cancer survivor, comes up with. Can you imagine orchestral or acoustic renderings of 'I Should Be So Lucky,' her cover of 'Locomotion,' 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' and others? Bring it, Kylie!
