Kylie Minogue recently held a special concert at Abbey Road Studios, at which she performed a set of her hits accompanied by a full orchestra.

According to Pink is the New Blog, Minogue held the event for label execs at EMI, and entertained them with live versions of 'On a Night Like This' and 'All the Lovers,' among other tunes. The singer breathed new life into the popular songs with the help of a full strings section, electric guitars, drums and back-up singers.

With the 43-year-old songbird celebrating the 25th anniversary of her music career next year, a greatest hits album is in the works. According to the pop star, the collection of songs will be re-recorded as acoustic and orchestral renditions, which supports the structure of her recent event.

“I’ve been at Abbey Road for about two weeks in total. Not just for this, I’ve been working on a project for next year," Minogue said at a recent performance. "Next year’s my 25th anniversary so we’ve been recording acoustic and orchestral versions of a number of my hits.”

The as-yet-untitled compilation doesn't currently have a release date, but fans can rest assured that it will arrive sometime in 2012.
