From the very first mention of disco sticks on Lady Gaga's debut album, The Fame, the pop star made it clear she's no prude. But will her sense of sexual freedom translate to TV in American Horror Story: Hotel, during which her character will find herself in a potentially fatal foursome?

In an interview with Access Hollywood at the show's premiere on Saturday (October 3), Gaga said she's found pride in taking AHS' sex scenes by storm, and proving to herself she's able to get lost in her character's frame of mind.

"It's an opportunity to be fearless," she says in the clip above. "In a strange way, I think I almost prefer to watch myself in a love scene, because I know that I have to be completely honest in order to achieve something that looks authentic and feels real. I'm trying to see that authenticity in myself all the time on film."

"Sometimes, when you're thinking too much about things you plan them out and you're more robotic in your performance," she adds.

With the support of her fiancé Taylor Kinney, whom Gaga says has helped her harness the TV star inside, she notes she's ready to build on her AHS role. So, given the chance, would she join the horror series in a future season if show co-creator Ryan Murphy asked?

"Of course I would," she insists above.
