Some new details have emerged on Lady Gaga's latest video for 'Judas.' The song is laden with religious imagery, with Gaga singing about how she is a "holy fool" and how "Jesus is [her] virtue, but Judas is the demon [she] cling[s] to." Like the song, Gaga will be instilling these religious images into her 'Judas' video, which will shockingly premiere on Easter weekend.

In the 'Judas' video, Gaga will portray a goth version of Mary Magdalene. A black-and-white photo has been circulating the Internet of Gaga in full costume, and she is sporting dark makeup, a billowy black cape, her signature horn head adornments, and a sleeked back bun. Starring in the video alongside Gaga is one half of the 'The Boondock Saints' brothers, Norman Reedus, who will be playing the maniacal character of Judas.

The release of the song and the video during Holy Week has many religious group up in arms. President of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, Bill Donahue, released a statement saying, "This is a stunt ... She is trying to rip off Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances. Another ex-Catholic whose head is turned around ... Is this the only way to jet up her performance? This isn't random, we are getting closer to Holy Week and Easter."

Director Laurieann Gibson has defended her faith and the video simultaneously, saying, "I do believe God inspired and worked on everyone’s heart … I would have been like, 'Goodbye, I ain't doing it. No way.' But, the place it came to is really magical. And she's dancing her face off."

On the other hand, with lyrics like, "In the most Biblical sense, / I am beyond repentance / Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind," it easy to see why many people are have become upset by the song. 'Judas' will be featured on 'Born This Way,' which is scheduled for release on May 23.

UPDATE: 'Judas' Video will now be premiering on 'American Idol' the week of May 2.
