Lady Gaga, Kanye West Win MTV O Awards

Lady Gaga and Kanye West were among the big winners at last night's MTV O Music Awards, a light-hearted Internet ceremony that celebrates social media and online innovation in music.

Gaga was the only double winner, capturing the awards for Innovative Artist and Must-Follow Artist on Twitter. For the latter award, she beat out a group of nominees including Adam Lambert, Nicki Minaj, Tyler the Creator and Amanda Palmer.

"I love Twitter," Gaga said in a videotaped speech after being presented the award by Kesha. "I love that I am able to communicate with all of you on a daily basis, more casually than I do most of the time. It's nice for me, as an artist, to not always have to be so serious."

Kanye, the hilarious tweeter, took home the award for Best Tweet, for this gem: "I hate when I'm on a flight and I wake up with a water bottle next to me like oh great now I gotta be responsible for this water bottle."

The O Music Awards site features video footage of the ceremony, including an awkward correspondent report by Rebecca Black and live performances by Matt & Kim and Chiddy Bang.
