Lady Gaga has scored her second Vogue cover. Her follow up appearance will be on the September 2012 issue, according to New York. The September issue is the biggest on the fashion world's editorial calendar, so this is a major, major coup for the Mother Monster.

The cover is supposedly timed up with the launch of her debut fragrance and the dawn of the cold weather fashion season.

Gaga graced the cover of the March 2011 issue of Vogue, shot by famed photog Mario Testino. It was one of the mag's most successful issues of that year and flew off the stands.

The September cover photos have reportedly been shot already, with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott going behind the camera to capture Gaga in all her fashion-forward essence.

There is only one thing we can pretty much bet the farm on, and that's the fact that Gaga will certainly do something jaw-dropping and totally different from her previous cover, on which she wore a strapless, deconstructed frock, a pale pink severely cut bob a la Vogue editress Anna Wintour and apparition-white skin.

Will she be cloaked head-t0-toe in latex? In priceless couture? Vintage? Something designed by her little sister Natali, an aspiring fashion designer? Oh, the possibilities are endless. Remember, her Italian Vogue cover was pretty out there.

It almost upstages the curiosity about what her debut scent will smell like!
