In 2010, Lana Del Rey covered the song 'Big Spender' by Shirley Bassey for her pal Smiler. The track made its way to the Internet this week.Smiler is an up and coming rapper from the U.K. His accent is audible in his rhymes, which are complemented beautifully by Del Rey's vocals. Del Rey's 'SNL' detractors may do well to listen to her sing the hook on this song.

NME reports that Del Rey recorded the duet in 2010. Its conception was a matter of glorious proximity: she was recording in the studio next to Smiler. The tune is originally from the Broadway musical 'Sweet Charity.' On his YouTube page, Smiler wrote, "Well done to my girl Lana Del Rey on her No. 1 album -- proud to have her doing the vocals on 'Big Spender.'" So sweet!

'Big Spender' will appear on Smiler's 'All I Know' mixtape, which is due to hit shelves and digital retailers on Feb. 27.
