We're so excited about Lana Del Rey's buzzing-louder-than-a-bomb debut 'Born to Die' that we had to talk about the track 'Diet Mountain Dew.'

It's anything but light and calorie-free. It's also not the type of song to get you up and dancing your face off, either, courtesy of a jolt of caffeine. Unlike the soft drink title, the song is a lazy, sexy jam that's loaded with youthful and summer-ready pop culture references. Thankfully we have 'Born to Die' to get us through the winter chill.

Lana, in her breathy, throwback voice, sings about heart-shaped sunglasses, Jesuses on dashboards, hanging out in New York City and more over a shimmery, modern beat. She is also musing about whether not she and her current paramour will be in love forever in her pretty way. It's the kind of song you want to listen to with all the windows down and the wind in your hair. It's certainly a road trip song that lets newbies get to know Del Rey, born Lizzie Grant, a little bit better.
