Lauryn Hill Gives Birth to a Son

Lauryn Hill gave birth to her sixth child, a boy, on Saturday, July 23. Congrats to Hill on expanding her brood yet again. She has yet to reveal that bouncing baby boy's name at press time. Hill only announced that she was expecting last month, so that's why it seems like only yesterday that we found out she was preggers! PopCrush has mad respect for the singer for balancing her musical career with a half-dozen children.

The Boombox reports that there was a little bit of a scare during the birth. While mother and child are fine, happy and healthy now, the baby was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, which is not uncommon, but it is still a frightening situation to encounter during childbirth. We are glad to hear that everyone in Hill's camp is doing fine, post-birth, though.

Despite the brief delivery room scare, there is even more drama surrounding the little guy, as Hill's reportedly former longtime love Rohan Marley, who is also the father of her five other children, issued a few since-deleted tweets denying that he sired Hill's latest offspring.

Hill, 36, and Marley also reportedly split amid reports that he is now shacking up with Brazilian beauty Isabeli Fontana.

What a tangled web this family has woven as of late.
