Lena Dunham is as edgy as ever on the February 2015 issue of Elle Magazine. The issue is the magazine's annual celebration of Women in TV, so it's no surprise that the actress opened up about her success.

With 'Girls' -- a hit HBO TV show you may have heard of -- and a memoir under her belt, there's no doubt that Lena has accomplished a lot. But she's not about to let fame go to her head.

"I realized early on that I was not going to be able to have a comfortable relationship with celebrity if I didn’t feel like I was using it to talk about things that were important to me," she tells ELLE. "It was always going to make me feel gross, for lack of a better word. I was like, ‘Oh, this attention is something I’m going to figure out how to use in a way that feels productive, healthy, and smart. And not just like as an excuse to collect handbags.'"

Not only is Lena down-to-earth, she clearly has a strong grasp of how powerful her influence can be.

You can read more about her when the issue hits newsstands nationally on Jan. 13.
