If there are any Marnie/Hannah (Harnie? Mannah? Marnah?) 'shippers out there — and we're pretty sure there are — this news is going to make a lot of people very happy: Lena Dunham and Allison Williams were caught smooching.

There's a caveat, though: They weren't filming an episode of Girls when the kiss went down. The stars locked lips as part of the Twizzler Challenge, an initiative to help raise autism awareness.

We suspect the Twizzler Challenge will be the next big thing in the grand tradition of viral social media campaigns that promote worthy causes (see: Ice Bucket Challenge). The fact that major stars like Lena and Allison have jumped on board is sure to make a huge difference to the campaign's reach.

The video features the two stars sitting together while Lena announces that they're taking the challenge in honor of a dear friend before the girls begin eating a single Twizzler from opposite ends, coming together for a quick kiss when they both reach the middle. Both actresses erupt in a fit of giggles at the end. All in all, it's a pretty adorable video.

Lena also posted a second video of the girls challenging others to take the same challenge. They call out Rita Wilson and Larry David, Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, and Scandal co-stars Katie Lowes and Guillermo Diaz. Allison signs off by instructing the pairs to "make out, y'all!"

In other Lena news, the Not That Kind of Girl author showed off a new super-short pixie cut on Instagram. "Zero prep required with my new 'do," she boasted in the caption. See it below.
