Liam Payne Says ‘Drama’ Went Down While Recording ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’
While Band Aid 30's recording of 'Do They Know It's Christmas' looked like one big party, Liam Payne revealed that organizer Bob Geldof was not too happy with some of the celebs' attitudes.
"I'm not going to repeat the word he used to describe them but he wasn't happy with some people," Liam recently revealed (quote via the Daily Mail).
"We actually managed to get in the recording booth first so we were done in like an hour so we left. I missed all the drama," he explained. "... He said to our manager, 'There are so many people here and you guys are the least fussed. And I was like 'Yes. we're not divas. That's so good.'"
That's the second account this week of One Direction's super down-to-earth behavior, as actor Nathan Fillion recently sang Louis Tomlinson's praises on Twitter (see exhibits A, B and C) for helping him clear a table at the 2014 AMAs. Serious swoon.
To get back to the "drama" for a sec, when we first heard that Liam addressed the issue, we thought that the tricky situation may have been between Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding and Niall Horan. (Ed's 'Don't' is heavily speculated to be about the 'Burn' singer cheating on him with Niall.) But the three seemed to be in pretty good spirits during the recording -- no outward awkwardness shown at all. Whew!
