Rapper Lil Wayne insists that his long overdue LP 'Tha Carter IV' will eventually land on a store shelves near you at the end of August. The rapper told MTV News, "The album is done and it'll be out Aug. 29. It's totally done."

To apologize for keeping fans waiting oh-so long for 'C4,' Lil Tunechi is offering a mixtape called 'Sorry for the Wait.' The collection hit the Internet on Wednesday (July 13), the same day he kicks off the second leg of his I Am Still Music Tour.

As for the album, expect a wide range of diverse sounds since he cracked the whip at his producers and demanded that they come up with some eclectic beats for him to spit rhymes on. Maybe Weezy was looking for something a little left of center like his latest single, 'How to Love,' which left a few rap fans scratching their heads at first.

Wayne says the late Tupac Shakur was the inspiration for the acoustic guitar-driven ballad. "That song is just sweeping the world," he says. "It's touching every woman, that's what it was for. It was like Tupac had 'Keep Ya Head Up' and it was a message to women and little girls across the world just to keep your head up even though things are hard. That's what my song was."

Meanwhile, XXLMag.com reports that 'Tha Carter IV' will close out with an all-star posse track that will include Nas, Jadakiss and Shyne. All in all, the LP will boasts an array of top-notch guest features, including Cee Lo, Tech N9ne, Bun B, will.i.am, Busta Rhymes and John Legend.
