It was an out and out hip hop party when Young Money cohorts and fan faves Lil Wayne and Drake bounded on stage with Rick Ross and DJ Khaled to perform 'I'm On One' at the 2011 BET Awards. It was the penultimate performance of the show, and while it had enough star power to actually close the BET Awards, that honor was reserved for Beyonce and her satellite performance at Glastonbury in the UK.

Stateside, all factions of hip hop were represented in this onstage collision, from the Southern rap stylings of Weezy, to the nasally and rapid-fire vocal acrobatics of Drake, to the neo-gangsta rap of Rick Ross and anthemic creations of DJ Khaled.

Weezy maybe have been released from jail a while ago and has already embarked on post-jail tours, but he was rocking out like it was his first post-prison performance! He also sported American flag shorts and easily projected the most infectious energy onto the stage. The large-and-in-charge Ross was a bit dapper, cloaked in all black, while Drake looked like a college kid next door, thanks to a black sweatshirt with gold tracing on it.

We were left wondering if Snoop Dogg or Eminem or some other major rap star was going to crash this party. Lots of trade offs of verses and choruses occurred throughout, with Weezy declaring that 'Nicki Minaj, Drake and Wayne is the best" before parting. Those Young Money kids stick together, don't they?
