Lil Wayne Presents Heartfelt Tale of Love and Courage in ‘How to Love’ Video
Rapper Lil Wayne has finally dropped his new video for his hit single 'How to Love,' from his upcoming LP 'Tha Carter IV.'
The song is a slight departure from Weezy's usual steezo of gangsta talk and boastful rhymes, yet it's been well-received by radio and fans, alike. The acoustic-driven ballad is the Young Money leader's heartfelt tale of a young girl struggling to find the true meaning of love after several bad relationships.
In the clip, Tunechi narrates a heartbreaking story of a single mother whose troubled childhood leads her into prostitution and drug use, and eventually contracting the HIV virus. The video is not all doom and gloom, we eventually see the mother raise her own daughter to become a beautiful and educated young woman. The moral of the story: Don't give up no matter what hardships come your way.
The video is a breath of fresh air among the usual rap video motifs of booty-shaking women, luxury cars and rappers popping champagne in the club. And for that, Lil Wayne should be commended for this video. Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' album will hit stores on Aug. 29.
