Since the beginning of the NBA Playoffs, Lil Wayne has been attending the home games of his favorite basketball team the Los Angeles Lakers. Weezy, who's a huge sports fan, told the Los Angeles Times that Lakers star Kobe Bryant inspires him to be the best in music and his in life.

"He's inspired not only songs, but he's inspired me in life in general just the way he attacks things, the way he never backs down, the way he fights through injury," he tells the newspaper. "Not only do he fight through injury, and not only do he play through injury, he excel through injury. I take those type of things and I just apply them to my everyday life."

"I believe he's the greatest player to touch a basketball," he continued.

Like Bryant is to basketball, Tunechi is certainly one of the top players in the rap game. Not only is he a major baller, Weezy also owns an all-star roster with his Young Money record label. Franchise players Nicki Minaj, Drake and Tyga have all been phenomenal coming off the bench with their respective albums.

When asked musically what his greatest inspiration, Wayne replies, "My musical inspiration is my kids."

Spoken like a true MVP.
