Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa Among BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominees

Rapper Lil Wayne is having the best week ever. Beside having the No. 1 album in the United States, he can now add a record-breaking 18 nominations for the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards to his list of accomplishments.

Among Weezy’s nods are Lyricist of the Year, MVP of the Year and Hustler of the Year. Following behind Wayne is Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa with nine mentions apiece and Rick Ross with eight nods. Other nominees included Jay-Z with five noms, DJ Khaled with four nods and Big Sean with three mentions.

BET will tape the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta on Oct. 1, which the network will later air on Oct. 11 at 8PM EST. Funnyman Mike Epps is returning to host this year’s event.
