We all know that Lil Wayne is a big baller, but who knew that he could knock pins down in bowling?

The Young Money rhyme-spitter is among a group of celebrities who have been nominated for induction into the International Bowling Hall of Fame by the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA). In addition to Weezy, A-listers like Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and basketball icon Michael Jordan have been selected.

For the record, PopCrush was not aware that Weezy was an avid bowler. But apparently, Lil Wayne has been getting his bowl-on. During the 2011 All-Star Weekend, Weezy, along with his bowling partner PBA Hall of Famer Norm Duke, reached the finals of Chris Paul's annual Celebrity Bowling Invitational. Unfortunately, the rapper lost in the finals by Paul and 2009 PBA Rookie of the Year bowler Jason Belmonte. Still, we have to give mad props to Wayne for his athleticism.

Anyway, this must be the BPAA's way of bringing attention to a national pastime that rarely gets any love from the sports media, and we can respect that. To wit: "Each of these 2011 candidates has had a significant impact in helping to keep bowling as one of the nation's most treasured pastimes," said International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame Chairman Keith Hamilton via a statement.

Fans can vote on who should be enshrined into the International Bowling Hall of Fame by visiting GoBowling.com. The online voting will continue until Aug. 6 -- National Bowling Day -- when the winners will be announced. Our pick is Weezy, Bieber and Gaga. We would love to play these guys in a competitive game of bowling.
