Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' finally has a release date. The rapper and his manager, Cortez Bryant, revealed in an MTV interview that the new album will hit stores on May 16. "'Tha Carter IV' will be dropping May 16," Weezy said. "If you're not doing anything, do me."

Wayne started recording the album before he went to prison a year ago and resumed working on it after his November release. He expressed some frustration at the album's delay, telling MTV, "It could come out tomorrow, cause I'm so finished."

'Tha Carter IV' includes the Bangladesh-produced '6 Foot 7 Foot,' which got to No. 9 on the pop chart, as well as a cameo from Nicki Minaj, who is currently touring with Weezy on the I Am Music II tour.

The album is considered the follow-up to 2008's 'Tha Carter III,' which featured the smash 'Lollipop,' though Lil Wayne has released two albums since then: 'Rebirth' and 'I Am Not a Human Being.'
