Lily Allen is speaking her mind ... Again. Allen told ELLE via Digital Spy that she is concerned about models who are starving themselves in order to maintain super svelte and trim bodies. She also stated that she has seen models and pop stars abuse their bodies by taking speed in their never-ending quest for thinness.

"I hang out with models, the biggest pop stars and, you know, really and honestly, I hate saying this, but none of them are achieving those body shapes by being healthy. They're not just going to the gym two hours a day … They're not eating or they're taking speed not to eat. In America, everyone abuses that Adderall stuff and people aren't normal," Allen said.

Allen is not pointing the finger at others in a bitchy way, either. She points the finger inward, revealing that she has suffered from an eating disorder in the past. She, too, is a victim of trying to achieve a stick-thin frame via dangerous methods. Allen admitted, "I wasn't eating then, you know. [I was] going out at night. I guess when you're not eating you have to distract yourself with other things. Come three o'clock it was like, 'Oh I suppose it's acceptable to have a glass of wine.' And then by four o'clock, I would have had four glasses. It's not the way to be."

Allen is speaking out about a topic that affects many young women, and we applaud her for having the courage to be revelatory about herself and others. While "others" that she hangs out with may not dig her candor and disclosure, it's smart to speak out to young girls about the dangers of dying to be skinny.
