Lindsay Lohan just can't catch a break. Although her on-stage debut was initially met with some harsh criticism, the 'Speed-the-Plow' actress stuck it out, even choosing to fight back against her critics.

Now it appears as though a man named Daniel Vorderwulbecke had been allegedly stalking Lindsay for weeks, ultimately culminating in an altercation with a bouncer who stopped him from seeing the actress rehearse for the play.

The Daily Mail reports the 37-year-old -- who also goes by the names King Lionheart and DJ Dan Cortez -- sent Lindsay thousands of text messages over the past seven weeks. He also claims to have daily contact with the 'Mean Girls' star via various forms of social media.

The police first responded to a call at the Playhouse Theater where it is reported Vorderwulbecke caused damage to a metal cigarette bin costing upwards of over 100 pounds (roughly $160 US dollars). Police returned again when, three days later, the man reportedly assaulted bouncer Cameron Ashrat.

Vorderwulcke was released to the Gordon Hospital in Pimlico, London -- a hospital specifically designed for patients with mental health issues. His lawyer claims the alleged stalker is 'unfit to plead' due to an unknown mental condition. Vorderwulcke's trial is set for Jan. 15.
