Mariah Carey is a busy lady: she's an 'American Idol' judge, a mom to two of the cutest twins on the planet and she's got her own music career to deal with. And good news for Mimi's beloved lambs -- new music from the legendary diva is coming soon!

Hot on the heels of 'Almost Home,' Carey told Billboard that she's in a great place creatively and that her upcoming record (she wouldn't reveal the title) would reflect that.

"I was and still am in a very prolific space," she said of the 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' track. "I could say, 'Let's stop now.' But that's not who I am, and that's not what I want this record to be. I really want the fans to love this record." She says there will be "a lot more raw ballads than people might expect." This should please fans of old school Carey, who fell in love with 'Vision of Life' and 'Hero.'

Carey is teaming up with Hit-Boy, Big Jim Wright, The-Dream, Rodney Jerkins, her old pal Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, and revealed that a lot of her writing and recording sessions occur overnight while Dem Babies are sleeping. "It's a lot to juggle," Carey admitted, but I'm handling it!"

Speaking of Dem Babies, Carey stopped by 'Live! With Kelly + Michael' to chat about Moroccan and Monroe, rocking a short black A-line dress and matching sky-high heels. The latest? Monroe tries to put on her sparkliest heels and loves Mimi's hair and makeup room -- which is in her house -- and Moroccan watches movies with her. So cute!

As for what to expect from the sound on her album aside from ballads, Mimi just says that it's gonna have heart. "Wherever we go with this project, I've tried to keep the soul and heart in it with me obviously as the through-line. It's about making sure I have tons of good music, because at the end of the day, that's the most important thing."
