LMFAO Get Served With Lawsuit From Former Managers
More rough news for LMFAO that won't leave anyone laughing. The 'Sexy and I Know It' duo were recently served with a $7 million lawsuit!
The party rockers are being sued by their former management company for breach of contract. The managers claim to have taken the 'Shots' rappers' careers "from 0 to 60," only to be let go once they got rich. The guys got served only hours before their absurdly awesome 'American Idol' performance, and you wouldn't tell by their faces that they were being taken to court. Redfoo even took a photo with the process server.
The news comes just after reports surfaced of a rift within the group -- another problem spawned from money issues. “Redfoo has always been promoting himself, doing his own thing,” a source said. "His own thing" includes $100K a night DJ gigs, remixes and tons of club appearances. Sky Blu, who perform as often as Redfoo, is said to not appreciate Redfoo’s use of the band’s “Party Rocking” slogan for his solo gigs.
On the bright side, the shufflers just scored 17 nominations for 2012 Billboard Music Awards (where they're also slated to perform) and are embarking on a world tour. Hopefully they can resolve their differences with their former managers and one another in order to fully enjoy the ride.
