Logan Paul's world nearly came crashing down Thursday (February 1) when he says his parachute didn't deploy correctly during a skydiving outing.

The YouTube star, who's in the thick of an apology tour after uploading a video that seemed to make light of suicide, tweeted a photo of an empty pack that he said represented an unprecedented brush with death.

“Here’s a photo of my empty pack after I had to cut away my main parachute because it didn’t open," he wrote. “I can tell you – the feeling of the blue reserve parachute opening and functioning properly was miraculous. This has never happened to another student before at this school. LP lives on.”

And for some followers, the image was more than a cautionary tale.

"Swear i was head over heels for sky diving but after seeing what he had been throu, ill pass," one wrote, while another noted "Poor fella. No matter what horrible things he’s tweeted/YouTubed, I’m glad he survived. Still, karma came calling & he paid it in full."

Paul gave his first televised interview since uploading the infamous clip from Japan's Aokigahara forest about a month ago (the area is notorious for drawing people who are considering ending their lives) on Good Morning America Thursday.

"I will think twice in the future about what I post, probably three times," he said, noting that the video in question represented a "horrible lapse of judgment."

"One of the things I'm learning which actually pertains to me as well is crisis passes," he added. "Crisis passes, man, and for anyone suffering it's important to know that."
