The second performance of the 2014 Grammys was by none other than newcomer Lorde, who performed her smash hit 'Royals.'

The 17-year-old New Zealand native showed off her vocal chops -- along with her dark fashion sense -- during the performance, wearing a sleeveless white button-down shirt with black pants, her trademark dark lipstick and black lacquered nails.

The singer, who is up for four awards tonight, accompanied the song with a few jerky dance moves as she was backed by a keyboardist and drummer. The controversial pop star kept her eyes closed as she belted out the song that has taken over the airwaves.

Later in the night, her song won her a Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance. She seemed humbled and honored to be on stage. Check out her speech below!
