Lorde Looks Radiant on ‘Vogue’ Australia’s July Cover
Lorde is Vogue Australia's July cover girl!
The "Yellow Flicker Heartbeat" pop star revealed the news on Instagram on Saturday (June 6).
"YOUR GIRL ON THE COVER OF A PRETTY UNDERGROUND PUBLICATION KNOWN AS VOGUE," captioned the upload, trying to jokingly downplay the fact she's on the magazine's cover.
Lorde looks stunning in a long-sleeved floral number and even shows a little sexiness with the low V-neckline that's casually covered by her brunette locks. She's also sporting a number of jeweled finger candy that are reminiscent of high school rings but are clearly more extravagant. She also shared another image from the shoot where she is wearing large gold and emerald adorned jewels and a peacock feature dress.
"Feeling like an eccentric 70s old-money californian in beautiful @givenchyofficial, styled by the maximally talented and chic @centenera," she wrote in the caption, which you can see below.
Only really being in the music game for three years, Lorde has managed to top the charts, win awards and even curate soundtrack for one of the largest movie franchises. And while she called songwriting and singin "just a hobby," Lorde has risen to great heights since the moment she dropped "Royal."
“The world has expanded for me in this incredible way," she told Vogue Australia (via News Corp) It’s cool, and I’m very lucky that I get to surround myself with creative people who are clever and good at what they do.”
And at only 18 years old, Lorde may be a star around the globe but still enjoys the comforts of going home and being "normal."
“It is easier to have a normal life back home," she said. "I think everyone knows that they’re going to see me around, that I’m going to be buying gum from a gas station or whatever."
She also added, "The shine rubs off when you’re like: ‘Oh yeah, my friend met her in the supermarket the other day.’ I think people are much more chill about it. Yeah, people are good there, respectful. I love living in New Zealand.”
The July issue of Vogue Australia releases on July 15.
