Lorde pours passion into every performance she does -- and she seriously proved that tonight at the 2014 American Music Awards.

Just a few days after the release of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part -- 1,' Lorde (the soundtrack curator!) performed the film's theme song, 'Yellow Flicker Beat,' infusing the number with her trademark jerky dance moves and unique style.

The Kiwi singer kicked off her performance literally inside a blue and orange glowing box, using every last ounce of energy to cover every inch of space inside the contained square. So you can imagine what it was like the second the box opened and Lorde sprung out, ready to unleash all of that frenzied passion on stage, delivering a killer performance filled with everything that makes Lorde the awesomely unique artist that she is.

Of course, the second best part of Lorde's performance was watching her bestie Taylor Swift completely losing her mind in the audience, rocking out so awesomely hard to her friend slaying it up there on stage.
