One actress who's not in the running for Hollywood's most social? Lucy Hale, and she's proud to forfeit the distinction.

The Pretty Little Liars star says in a new interview with Byrdie that as she navigates her late 20s, she's getting more in touch with her sincere self, which means letting go of temptations to constantly be out partying. Instead, she's enjoying small comforts like podcasts (S Town is among her favorites), Soul Cycle and crystals...even though she knows that all sounds a little sanctimonious.

Oh, and her hair is a collective symbol of all of this.

"I’m almost 28, but...I think I only just figured out who I was a year ago,” she said. “I know it seems silly because it’s just hair. But at a point, I was like, ‘Why don’t I just own that I’m different?’ I guess cutting my hair was like me finally saying, ‘I don’t give a f---.’”

She said she felt pressure to compete a "social butterfly" in the aftermath of PLL's 2010 premiere, which amounted to many "mistakes." Now, she says she's got absolutely "no interest" in being out and about.

"I’m just always trying to surround myself with better people and be the best version of myself possible,” she said. "I know it sounds obnoxious to hear people say that, but why not?"

“I go home, and my dad’s like, ‘You L.A. hippie with your crystals and your SoulCycle!’" she added. "I always used to make fun of those people, but now I think it’s just magic.”
