Lucy Hale was a bright spot in a gloomy NYC early today (Jan. 10), performing her sunny song ‘You Sound Good to Me’ live in the ‘Good Morning America’ studio.

The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ star appeared on the morning show to promote her brand-new debut single and discuss her burgeoning country music career. “This week has been kind of insane,” she gushed to co-host George Stephanopoulos in an interview segment. “We dropped the single, the music video and the premiere of the show, and then I found out yesterday that I get to sing at the Grand Ole Opry.”

Dressed in a short black floral-print dress hemmed with fringe, Hale looked as comfortable in front of the camera singing as she does acting in her ‘Pretty Little Liars‘ gig. And she appeared delighted to finally be realizing her lifelong dream of a musical career. “On cloud nine, for sure,” she said, smiling.
