With her fight-ready roles in Charlie's Angels and Kill Bill considered, it's clear Lucy Liu's in touch with her tough side – but as she's just become a first-time mom, her softness is abundantly clear.

The 46-year-old Liu, who stars in CBS' Elementaryshared a photo of her new bundle of joy on Instagram yesterday (August 27). "Mom and baby are healthy and happy," Liu's rep confirmed to ABC News, and added the baby was delivered with the help of a gestational carrier.

Beyond happy, mom also appears to be deeply in love.

"Introducing the new little man in my life, my son Rockwell Lloyd Liu. In ❤️!" Liu captioned the photo above, in which she holds a swaddled Rockwell, whose dog-decorated blanket matches the chair on which the new family sits. Does this look like the face of someone whose O-Ren Ishii once decapitated a man in one fell swoop in the middle of a business meeting? Hardly!

And while Rockwell amounts to Liu's first taste of motherhood, the actress has been working with children as a longtime UNICEF volunteer, and told People her own parents have shaped her maternal instincts.

"I felt like they really gave me an appreciation for the care and love we had," she shared.

What do you think of the name Rockwell? Be sure to wish Lucy congratulations!
