Jason Aldean, as expected, started off his 'Dirt Road Anthem' performance slow and unfaltering at the 2011 CMT Music Awards. But as soon as the second rap verse rolled in, Ludacris emerged from the crowd, and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena went wild.

The ballad, mixed with moderate rap verses, was perfect for a Ludacris/Jason Aldean collaboration, which Luda took to like fish in water. Wearing shades, flashy dog tags and a casual black tee, the rapper went through the verse (which he re-wrote for the occasion) with ease, and later had everyone waiving their arms in unison while Aldean finished the performance. If Luda was nervous about making his first CMT appearance, you'd never know it.

What better way to end the awards show evening than with a fusion of music genres? We think so … After all like Jason Aldean says, it's 'My Kinda Party.'
