Lupita Nyong'o arrived at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in a green Gucci dress, successfully reminding the world that she will always look better than everyone else.

With its plunging neckline and bright hue, Lupita's custom-made pleated Gucci dress invokes memories of that pale blue Prada gown she wore to the 2014 Oscars. It also reminds us of her Calvin Klein 2015 Oscars dress that was enveloped in pearls, which was so iconic that someone stole it from her hotel room. Said thief later returned the dress, claiming the pearls were fake and could not be sold via some shady Oscars dress black market, but we're pretty sure he or she just felt terrible being mean to Lupita.

You know when someone is so beautiful and talented and wonderful that they are impossible to hate? This makes you want to hate them even more. That unmatched, unattainable level of perfection is an anomaly, and you were warned against its existence as a child. But then you meet the embodiment of said perfection and you soon come to realize that you were only told it does not exist so as to comfort you about your incessant failings. We are pretty sure that is exactly how Lupita's Oscars dress thief felt about her at the time. Try though they may have, it is impossible to feel anything but an affinity for Lupita, and so the dress was returned.
