Madonna fans who hoped to see out summer at a Rebel Heart show will have to settle for catching Her Madgesty live in 2016, the pop legend announced today.

On the heels of news that her Rebel Heart album opened to unusually low sales, the Material Girl shared that tour of the same name's first five shows—which were slated to kick off at the end of August—have been postponed until January. The tour will now officially begin on September 9 in Montreal.

"As my fans already know, the show has to be perfect," M wrote on her website. "Assembling all the elements will require more time than we realized. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause my fans. I can promise you this show will be worth the wait. Can't wait to share it with all my Rebel Hearts out there." Contrition is certainly a departure from the "Unapologetic Bitch" we've come to know of late! Let's hope she doesn't get too soft on us...

According to the announcement, tickets to shows on August 29 and 30 in Miami, September 2 in Atlanta and September 5 and 6 in San Juan will be honored at the rescheduled events, which are slated for January 23, January 24, January 20, January 27 and January 28, respectively—or, the tickets can be refunded.

Bummed out by the change of plans? Check out the entire tour's schedule if you're still in need of a ticket!
