Madonna's MDNA tour is the highest-grossing trek of 2012, so she can pretty much threaten her fans -- who plunked down hard-earned cash on a ticket -- and get away with it.

Madge did just that during her soundcheck at Estadio Nacional in Santiago City, Chile on Dec. 19. The Material Girl threatened to cancel her concert after becoming irritated by a group of fans who were smoking.

Madge was rehearsing in the rain when she caught a whiff and lashed out. Apparently, the fumes bother her throat and her voice.

"There are people smoking right now," Madge said, sounding like a stern mother scolding her child -- more on that in a sec!

Madonna continued, "No smoking. If you're going to smoke cigarettes, I'm not doing a show. You don't care about me, I don't care about you. All right? Are we going to play that game? I'm not kidding. I can't sing if you smoke. If you love me, then don't smoke."

Uh, how about if they love themselves, they don't smoke? Madge engaged in full-fledged emotional blackmail with her concertgoers.

Madge is serious about her anti-smoking policies on many levels. Even though she is seen smoking in her video for 'Girl Gone Wild,' she claims that she does not condone or endorse the dirty habit. She also was not psyched when her teenage daughter Lourdes was caught puffing away.

Take note of the memo, Madonna fans. Either don't smoke anywhere near her or if you choose to, gird your loins and prepare to face her wrath.
