Madonna took to the 2015 BRIT Awards stage earlier today (Feb. 25) to perform her hit single "Living For Love." It was the first time she's performed at the BRIT Awards in 20 years, so it was kind of a big deal. That's why, when she wound up taking a serious tumble toward the start of her performance, people took notice. But now it looks like a wardrobe malfunction is what caused the fall, according to Madonna herself.

The legendary songstress took to Instagram after the show to let fans know exactly what happened to cause her fall. She posted a sketch of her outfit -- made by Armani -- that showed the beautiful long cape she wore during the performance. She wrote, "Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine!"

So there you have it! It looks like her cape was just tied a little too tight, and she probably didn't have enough time to communicate that to the rest of her team before a backup dancer tugged on the article of clothing to take it off. Madonna went on to finish performing the song, still managing to deliver a fantastic performance -- which is exactly what we'd expect from the seasoned singer. She also closed out the show, leaving a serious impression on all the viewers who were watching both inside the arena and at home.
