MAKO, a collaborative project from Logan Light and Alex Seaver, want to offer the music world "a truly unique experience" with their custom blend of unexpected ingredients and radically-different musical backgrounds. Today (January 13), we're proud to premiere their official music video for "Smoke Filled Room," which tells the story of a doe-eyed girl who discovers that her lover has been unfaithful.

Seaver attended The Juilliard School on a full scholarship as a musician. While he was performing for large audiences at places like Carnegie Hall, Light was quietly mastering the art of DJing in a makeshift room of his own. Light made a name for himself within a few short years, and has since opened for superstar DJs such as Tiesto and Avicii, in addition to performing at festivals including Lollapalooza and TomorrowWorld.

Since the pair's first meeting in at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas in 2011, MAKO have earned a following thanks to the success of their first single "Beam," subsequent release "Sunburst" in 2014, and their recent remake of the fan-favorite track "Way Back Home." Their latest single, "Smoke Filled Room," showcases the duo's ability to merge emotive songwriting talents with state-of-the-art production. The track was co-produced by up-and-coming NYC producer Prince Fox and mixed by the Grammy award-winning engineer Miles Walker, who has also worked his magic with Rihanna.

The verses are somber and nostalgic, reflecting on the transformations a former love has undergone. The chorus offers the perfect EDM festival-worthy breakdown, as the girl in question enters the titular "smoke filled room" — and finds a surprise that changes her night entirely.
