UPDATE: Mama June is speaking out about controversial allegations that she has been wearing a "fat suit" on her new WeTV series, Mama June: From Not to Hot.

Speaking to iHeartRadio's Domenick Nati on Friday, March 11, the reality star exclaimed, "I definitely did not wear a fat suit! I was fat," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Mama June also shared that she's "definitely not going to have any more [plastic surgery," after undergoing procedures on her breasts, stomach, arms and neck.

"I never had, like, an ideal weight in mind," she told the radio host. "I'm pretty happy where I'm at right now."

ORIGINAL (2/25): WeTV aired their new weight-loss reality show about Honey Boo Boo's mom, Mama June: From Not to Hot, on Friday night (February 24). Unfortunately, the network, as well as its star, received a wave of backlash from viewers after reportedly trolling those who tuned in to see the reality TV matriarch's dramatic, much-teased physical transformation.

Viewers who watched From Not to Hot last night believed that they would witness Mama June's reported size 4 reveal after the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star embarked on a fitness journey in order to lose weight and obtain a "revenge body" in time for her ex-partner Sugar Bear's wedding.

Instead, people who tuned in were greeted only by the revelation that the show is actually a series, not a TV special, and that Mama June's final reveal will not occur until the series' last episode set to air late spring.

In addition to the fake-out, many viewers also pointed out that it seemed like in many scenes the reality star was wearing an offensive "fat suit" and facial prosthetics to make her appear heavier, implying that Mama June's weight loss had already occurred prior to filming.

Aside from the obvious frustrations viewers have expressed about Mama June's new series, the culture of body-shaming the show perpetuates—particularly its cringe-inducing, fatphobic title that implies any body which exists outside the frame of thinness is considered intrinsically unattractive—is just another valid reason not to tune in.
