Mama June May Lose Custody of Her Kids

In a story that just gets more horrifying with every new detail, it looks like Mama June of 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' fame may lose custody of her children.

The reality star matriarch has been accused of currently being in a relationship with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel. Even more disturbing is that McDaniel reportedly abused June's own child, Anna. While TLC has chosen to cancel 'Honey Boo Boo,' it looks like Mama June may also lose parental rights of her children, as having them in the presence of a convicted child molester is considered child endangerment. TMZ recently released a photo that showed Mama June and McDaniel sitting in a stairwell -- also accompanied by one of June's children, Alana.

Susan Boatwright, a child services representative of Georgia's Division of Family and Child Services, told PEOPLE magazine: "Generally speaking, when we receive a report that children are living around a sex offender ... it would certainly rise to the level of concern of us looking into it."

Privacy laws do not allow Boatwright to confirm or deny any possible ongoing investigation into this specific case, but she did say: "If we thought a child was in harm's way in any way, shape or form, we would develop a safety plan and make sure the children are not around an offender."
