Ian Clark is taking his love of music to a new level. According to the UK's Daily Mirror, the Cramlington, Northumberland native, plans to name his son after rapper will.i.am.

Yes, that's right. The 36-year-old says he will name his child Tommy Will.i.am, after weighing the suggestion from his 4-year-old stepdaughter, Maddie. The youngster also helped the UK dad name her half-sister, Meggie Maisie Lady Gaga. It looks like there's a tiny pop fan in the house.

But, while Clark is all for the iconic names, his partner, Melanie Robinson, isn't exactly on board with the permanent pop culture references. “I’m trying to convince him not to, but he’s done it once so I’m sure he will do it again,” she tells the paper.

Unusual name choices seem to be abound this year. In February, an Egyptian man named his newborn daughter Facebook following the the end of Hosni Mubarak's 30-year reign as the president of Egypt. The man reportedly chose the name to honor the social network's instrumental role in helping spread the word about area protests.

Neither Gaga nor will.i.am has commented on the children's names, but we can't imagine them being anything less than flattered.
