Mandy Moore to Guest Star on ‘Red Band Society’

Mandy Moore will be joining Fox's new television show 'Red Band Society' in a major recurring role.

'Red Band Society' is described as a comedy-drama and will premiere on Sept. 17. The show will chronicle the stories of a group of kids at Ocean Park Hospital who become the unlikeliest of friends during their time in the pediatric ward.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Moore will be playing Erin Grace, the chief of staff at Ocean Park Hospital. Her character will also be the ex-fiancee of Dr Jack McAndrew, played by Dave Annable.

The show is based on 'Polseres vermelles' in Spain and stars Octavia Spencer, Griffin Gluck, Nolan Sotillo and Charlie Rowe.

Moore had worked on two television pilots, 'Good Session' and 'Advocates,' but neither were picked up. She last appeared in the TV holiday film, 'Christmas in Conway.'
