Manou is on a mission for pop superstardom, and she's wasted no time getting ahead of the game.

At 14, while some of us were busy trading Pokemon cards and refusing to do homework, the half-German, half-English singer was sneaking out of her home to go club-hopping at night. By 15, she was already performing in London venues. At 16? She was hitting the recording studio with producer P*NUT, who's worked with everyone from MS MR to Foxes to the late, great Amy Winehouse.

And that is, more or less, where she's at right now.

Following the release of her sumptuous, summer-y lead track "Celebrate" in April, the young burgeoning talent returns today with "Unmistakable," the second offering from her debut EP, Venice Beach.

Co-written by Manou, the lush cut blends dreamy synth-pop production with the singer's featherlight vocal styling — and just the lightest flourishes of hip-hop beats.

The melodies are understated, but unmistakable indeed: "Beautiful minds light up the night / Don't be afraid, you'll be alright / You're unmistakable," she coos across the warm pulsations, resulting in an appropriately timed end-of-summer jam as the sun sets for the evening. (Also, any reference to smizing in song form is quite worthy of celebration.)

The Venice Beach EP is out today (July 6) on SW Records.
