Marc Anthony Joins Cast of ‘HawthoRNe’

Hey, if J. Lo can join a TV series, why can't her husband and baby daddy Marc Anthony do the same?

While La Lopez spends her Wednesday and Thursday nights on live television judging contestants on the ever popular 'American Idol,' Anthony will take on much less of a pressure cooker gig by joining the TNT hospital drama 'HawthoRNe' for its third season, which kicks off this June. He will reprise his role of Detective Nick Renata, a role he played for two episodes last season, according to Billboard.

Anthony has a good amount of acting experience, as he has starred in films like 'Man on Fire' and 'El Cantante,' the latter of which he appeared opposite his wife and earned him some of the best reviews of his career.

Interestingly enough, Jada Pinkett Smith is the series' titular star. With Anthony joining the cast, she isn’t the only musically minded cast member of 'HawthoRNe.' Pinkett Smith also fronted her own metal band, Wicked Wisdom.
