Actress Marcia Strassman has died at 66 after a seven-year battle with breast cancer, the Huffington Post reports.

“They gave her 2 and a half years to live but she lasted much longer,” Strassman’s sister Julie said (quote via the Huffington Post). “She was very courageous.”

Strassman first became beloved by the public as Julie Kaplan on the ’70s sitcom ‘Welcome Back Kotter,’ later resonating with a whole new generation as Diane Szalinski, Rick Moranis’ wife in the 1989 Disney hit ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’ and the sequel ‘Honey, I Blew Up the Kid.’

According to IMDB, her final role was in the 2014 TV movie ‘Looking for Mr. Right.’

The Huffington Post reports that Strassman died at her home in Sherman Oaks, Calif. on Friday, Oct. 24. In addition to her sister Julie, she is also survived by her daughter and brother.
