After "making love" to the crowd with his fan-chosen Pepsi challenge song, Marcus Canty returned to the stage for a second song on tonight's episode of 'X Factor.' It was a remixed version of George Michael's '80s ballad 'Careless Whisper.' The original is an epic, emotional and sweeping song, and Canty's rendition started out that way but quickly changed.

It was a big production, as Canty was surrounded by sultry dancers, which fit the lyrics that go a little something like this: "I'm never gonna dance again / Guilty feet have got no rhythm / And I'm never gonna dance again / The way I danced with you."

Canty, wearing a white suit, sped things up by the second verse, elevating the tempo and turning it into a dancefloor banger. The performance ended with some confetti falling on the stage. It was an unexpected song, one that Canty redid in the live setting.

Everyone on the judging panel loved his performance, save for Simon Cowell who said it was "horrific" and as bad as anything he has ever seen. Ouch! It wasn't that bad, Simon. L.A. Reid retorted that Canty comes out swinging every time and declared that Canty is a champion for not giving up despite having to perform for the save three times.
