Like the first magical flurry of Christmas snow, the holiday music diva herself, Mariah Carey, dropped by NBC's Today show on Friday to promote her brand new docu-series, Mariah's World.

While chatting about the show, hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb dared to ask the Elusive Chanteuse about her rumored new romance with dancer Bryan Tanaka, who Mimi was recently spotted frolicking on a beach with in Hawaii over Thanksgiving weekend. But Mariah doesn't kiss and tell, darling, and ended up dancing around the question with the finesse of a tabloid-navigating pro.

"I refuse to answer under the grounds that it may incriminate me," she responded when asked about Tanaka.

When further pressed about the dancer—"He's cute, isn't he?" asked Hoda—Mariah simply smiled and turned her attention to the studio decor, commenting on everything from the Christmas tree in the background to the hosts' outfits.

However, the music icon did open up a bit about her shocking split from her ex-fiance James Packer.

When asked why she decided to move forward with the series after the painful breakup, as Packer had been involved on the show, Mariah replied, "Oh, I can’t give somebody that much power. Are you kidding me? No, no, you gotta keep on pushing."
