Mariah Carey was rushed to a New York hospital after dislocating her shoulder on the set of her new music video for ‘#Beautiful’ last night (July 7), the New York Post reports. Yikes!

“Mariah was injured while filming a video for the remix of ‘#Beautiful,’ directed by her husband Nick Cannon,” said spokesperson Cindi Berger. “She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine and is recovering at home.”

‘#Beautiful’ is the lead single from Carey’s forthcoming studio album, ‘The Art of Letting Go.'

The injury reportedly took place in downtown Chelsea, where the video was being filmed. Another source revealed that the 40-year-old songstress may have tripped and fallen in her signature high heels, resulting in a dislocated shoulder.

However, despite the unfortunate mishap, Carey is still scheduled to perform at Central Park’s Great Lawn on July 13 alongside the New York Philharmonic for a free concert to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief. “She will perform, but it is likely she will have her arm in a sling,” a source added.

We wish her a speedy and full recovery! In the meantime, check out an exciting live rendition of Carey's catchy new tune from the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular.
