Mariah Carey Would Love to Judge ‘American Idol’ By Herself
Memo to rumored 'American Idol' judge frontrunners Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj. Sole confirmed judge Mariah Carey can handle the job all by her lonesome. This diva doesn't need any help, thank you very much.
Paparazzi swarmed upon Mimi in NYC yesterday (Sept. 6), with TMZ filming the action. Snappers were asking if there was tension between herself and Minaj. One pap said the two should do a duet to prove that things are fine between them and to ease the tension to which the 'Triumphant' singer asked, "What tension? There's no tension!"
Oh Meems, you're SUCH a diplomat! Spoken like a politician. That was the right thing to say at the right time. Nice work, girl!
The photogs pounced on diva in L.A., as well, asking who she would like to sit beside her on the panel. Again, she was as diplomatic as possible, saying, "I'd answer that, but I'm not quite sure how."
That's when a pap asked if she could do it all by herself, to which she replied, "Naturally ... why not?"
Spoken like the glass-shattering, high octave-reaching diva that she is.
You don't get to the top of the pop diva food chain by being modest or expecting too many others to shoulder the workload and thus share or steal your spotlight.
